Multi-platform game quality for the PS3 ...

Now, I don't have a PS3 (and I don't have an Xbox 360 yet) so I won't say that this is for the majority of multi-platform games on it. Though, reading reviews, it seems that a lot of the best versions of mulit-platform games is on the Xbox 360.For example: Medal of Honor: Airborne apparently has framerate problems on the PS3 version. Also, MX vs. ATV Untamed looks a little worse on the PS3.This proves that Xbox 360 is the primary console for development for most third parties. So, you can't all say that ''Teh 360 is doomed!!!1''Yes, the 360 got a year start, and the PS3 architecture is complex it seems.Multi-platform game quality for the PS3 ...
Yeah... it really depends on which version is the lead platform, and since 360 had the head start, devs have favoured it thus far.Differences seem to be declining though, judging by the latest multiplats we've gotten.Multi-platform game quality for the PS3 ...

DMC4 is slightly better on ps3 because of the loading times, the graphics seem to be litte bit better on 360.

Yeah I finally saw DMC4 on PS3 and it's not as sharp as 360 version. Apparently the AA is faked for PS3 so it makes for a blurry mess.

[/QUOTE]thats a little misinformaty, the ps3 version uses some motion blurs for motions, but the game is so constantly moving that its impossble to notice, im pretty sure that no one is going to be pausing the game every second to look at how the graphics use different effects

It's easier to program for the 360, well known fact,
doesn't make the 360 more powerful, I mean, the ps2 was apparently the hardest
console to program for last gen, it's just like that.

It used to be that the 360 had better multi-plats but now devs know how to program the ps3 so multi-plats are roughly the same now.
multiplatform game start on pc, the devs get dev kist port them over, if port is the right word...and the 360 cpu and gpu set up is easier to work with the pc set-up, tho considering the ps3 is more like a pc because of the open network, the web browing and the rsx/ram, the ram in the ps3 is alot like dos ram. So really the ps3 is more like a pc, but because of the cell and rsx combination it makes it hrader for the pc code to be understood by the cell, so when they optimze it takes longer and can be harder. Unlike on the 360, its more freindly for multi-platform games, unless the troubles at the start on the ps3 idea is taken into account, where as then the game usually look the same, if they were to advance past stable settings, each system would run the game differently and have them look different. They wouldn't look different in a bad way either tho...each system runs games differntly and the devs find a nice medium where the game acts the same on both systems, so they stick with that and otimize just that and not anything else, i'm talking burnout, cod4 and that, they found nice mediums, but say with AC it did as well, but ac 2 is coming out and it planning to look and be better on both systems, so that means it will be different not in a bad way on both systems.

Is that what u mean, yeah each system is made differently and act differently when optimized.
