once MS places 3rd, they will lose credi ...

what i have been saying all along is beginning to take shape , MS xbox 360 will place 3rd this generation ,just look @ the latest npd it's been happening in europe in japan for sometime now , but PS3 has just beaten MS IN ms BEST REGION .i feel that once MS places 3rd this gen (and it will) it will lose all credibility to have what it takes to lead the console wars once MS places 3rd, they will lose credi ...
I dont think lems realized that after halo there is nothing.once MS places 3rd, they will lose credi ...
Thats probably fine with MS.Getting 3rd place means MS still wins. Its not their goal to be #1. Being #1 would just be an added perk.
Nobody expected the Wii to be such a success after the GC so you can't predict how the next gen console wars will play out simply by the past console war.
Your a funny guy :D
It's more about making money and satisfying their fanbase than it is about beating Sony and Nintendo. Finishing behind them won't stop Microsoft from making another console, and it won't stop people from buying it. This isn't a SEGA/Atari situation where not winning=failure. No matter what happens from here on out, all three home consoles will carve out a userbase upwards of 25 million.
Sorry PS3 still has a ton of ground to cover. I don't see it passing the 360 anytime soon.
So since the PS3 is dead last I guess it has no credibility then, cool.
What part of ''shortages'' isn't being understood here? Microsoft reported the shortages days before NPD released their numbers. Do you honestly think that a console that sold 1.2 million units in the month of December would fall off the face of the Earth in January? When the PS3 beats the 360 3 months in a row is when we can start saying that MS is on the downward slope.
ps3 has been beating xbox 360 anywhere on earth you can thik of except north america ...till last month
And? The sales of the 360 in North America up until this month have been so high that it takes the worldwide sales of the PS3 to equal them. Nevermind the 360's sales in the UK and whatever it can sell in Japan. That's why I say Sony needs 3 months on top in NA, the biggest and most important market in videogames, before we can say that MS is going downhill.
Where MS finishes in this console race has no bearing on whether or not ''they will have the credibility to lead'' the next console war. People don't look at ''Well console X placed last the previous generation so I'm not going to buy their next one''. There's alot more to it than that, if the games and quality are there that's all anyone will care about. Just look at the GameCube and the Wii making predictions about the next console gen based on what happened in the previous one is senseless.

Wasn't Nintendo 3rd last generation, and wow look where they are now? lol
I don't mind if that happens. I will continue to support Xbox no matter what. Xbox 360 has been absolutely incredible and I've enjoyed their games tremendously.

Ugh, how many times do you people need to be reminded it's FOURTH place.Come-on say it with me fooooouuuuurrrrrrrth place.
maybe a tie will happen
What people fail to realize that as long as MS makes a PRofit, they could care less if there behind even the N-Gage. Companys want PRofits, and thats what they care about,
