I want console gaming to DIE

there i said it. bored to death with the PC as a dying gaming platform. really i can't see the point of a console anymore. there is no game on them that can't be on the PC. a device like the wii remote would sell like hot cakes on a PC, if there was the marketing budget for it. and the company that made it made some initial games there is no reason why a beat em up can not be on a PC, since you can plug any controller in.you can plug a pc to a tv (i do), and not only play games, but have it as your central media hub, music (itunes, napster), tv and movies on demand (4od, itunes, bbc iplayer), internet, email, dvd upscaler, blu ray etchardware costs are incredibly low these days for PC parts. an 8800gt is ?60 and plays crysis on high for gods sake. a blu ray player for the PC is ?00and it would make sense for developers since you have a single open platform. no porting games to other systems, no downgrading games, because system can't hack it, no royalty payments, use a present digital distrbution network (like steam, direct2drive, gamersgate, metabolic, gametap) or create their own etc etcthis will also give rise to smaller companies who can then help people keep their PC's upto date.hell i am upgrading my PC for just ?50, and the new setup will play crysis, flight simulator x on high.games like crysis, fligh simulators, mmos, RTS games just don't exist and can't be done properly on a console.looks like i am about to start a blood bath, let the battle commence. i want to see blood :)oh and pc gaming not dead not dyinghttp://www.developmag.com/news/29331/The-PC-market-is-not-dying-says-newly-formed-PC-Gaming-AllianceI want console gaming to DIE
I don't have anything against consoles (Though i wasn't happy with the 360 when i had one) but the consolites that constantly bash PC Gaming and says it dead/dying.I want console gaming to DIE
you're just angry console sales are owning PC sales and all the developers are going elsewhere. Hey look on the bright side, you do have Crysis.

Too funny man :lol:I dunno - it's like any hobby really - one crowd is looking for the very best and loves the figuring, tweaking part and another faction of the hobby just want the vanilla flavor, don't bother me with complex stuff kind of thing.

You forgot the fact that the PC accounts for 30% of the overall industry game sales according to a recently released article by the PC Gaming Aliance.

I think the tc is like most of us pc gamers here on sw. Sick to death of the pc is dead threads. Every day more and more appear. Consolites can't use graphics, you can't use quality of games or the number of quality games, you can't use the price things as you could before and you can't use the exclusive thing as much. So you have all turned to the death thing. The problem is the tc has posted a link that disproves that too. I'm getting so bored, its about time consolites used the old grey matter and came up with something new and original. Hell, you can't even use the stable hardware thing after rrod lol.
PC Gaming is boring.

PC gaming will always have a small dedicated fanbase with the occasional normal PC owner who wants to buy the Sims or some crap like that. Console gaming is far easier to get into and stay into. Not everyone can afford a $3000 gaming rig and update it every 2 or 3 years. It isn't practical unless PC gaming is your thing.
PC Gaming is boring.
console gaming is boring, depends on what you play. all i am saying is a PC can play ANY game if developed for it, while console games can ONLY play certain games.

That 70% is split amongst 3 entirely different consoles and two handhelds. ONE PLATFORM is doing more than any individual platform. 70/5= you do the math. The PC is winning in sales, and the PC gaming alliance just proved that. Not to mention you only need a 650-700 dollar rig to play PC games and you DO NOT have to upgrade over the span of a generation.

MISCONCEPTION OH YESSSS
lol, I have no problem with pc gaming. Hermits are very annoying with their arrogance though. IMO, hermits deserve to have the pc bashed, even if it isnt fair. They have been bashing other platforms unfairly for quite some time already.

This is exactly the kind of ignorance we keep talking about. Yes consoles have 70% of the market but where thats 70 divided by ALL the consoles. Pc is one platform. Pc's do not cost 3k where do you idiots get these figures? Stop with this garbage.

I'm sorry but football games are casual trash aswell, yet they are lapped up, repetitive and boring. And PC do not cost $3000, constantly reapeting this is just trolling.

That argument makes absolutely no sense. You're ignoring the fact that there are plenty of exclusives that the PC will never have. As an avid PC gamer, even I see the flaw in that logic.
