I dont remember a lot of Gamecube vs. Xbox vs. PS2, then again I didnt post on these boards either. Just curious if the previous gen had heated comaprisons and hate-filled discussions about the consoles.Was there a 'Console War' last generatio ...

ps2 absolutely annihilated last year without any mercy, there was no war, any fanboy for gamecube or xbox was only making a fool of themselves, i dont even want to think what happened to dreamcast fanboys.but console wars have always existed. I remember the days of ''sega does what nintendon't''god it was commercials like that that made me proud to own a snes, if you're ripping on another company in your ads, it's cause you're threatened and know that you're only second best.

I.E: Pepsi, **** pepsi, I love coca cola [/QUOTE]Don't mention it......we were butchered, all the promises fell flat in our faces, i was arguing constantly(how the DC had a AAAA game and more games than the PS2), when sega betrayed us, we were devastated and i eventually bought a PS2. There was no war, the PS2 slayed every console and there was some arguments about the xbox and GC, but we all knew(i did) tat the xbox would be second. All the lems and sheep were kidding themselves(especially the lems) that thought the ps2 could loose out. The lems that time were rampant calling the ps2 owners cows, how they got milked and how they had online and halo and everything.
Oh, a war there was. We fought to the very end. Even when everyone else declared it over, we wouldn't give up. We never surrendered.And do you know what happened?...We lost. :lol:

The Dreamcast. MY favorite Console (and my first) Sonic Adventure was the best game I played...EVER....well maybe not Ever, but one of them.
Yeah there was a war. And there was a war the generation before that too.

Wow, I never knew! I bought a Dreamcast upon its release and loved it until it was abandoned. Then picked up a GameCube and enjoyed the great, but limited releases they offered. I never heard about the fiece competitions.Now, Im stating to wonder if I would be better off not knowing about the System Wars forum. These comparisons/discussions on this board are often fun and funny, but whatever happened to just playing games and not worrying about the other consoles?

Atari and Intellivision had rival commercials and fanbases.

We're beyond fun. :PSeriously though, SW isn't too bad. I'm not here so much to attack other systems as I'm here to defend my own. And there's usually some thoughtful discussion here, but you'll have to dig around. :lol:
I(and some sega fanatics) predicted the dreamcast will comeback in 2003. Then i became a cow after GTA:SA release.....
it was DC vs PS2 which was the bigger battle and since PS2 won that easily they beat GC and xbox easily
Yeah there was a war I think that's when system wars was the most fun. Cows had their games and sales, lemmings the best graphics on multiplats and sheep with the most profit and most GOTY.

last gen was a bit more of a war than this, this war has the wii as a runaway sucsess and the 360 and ps3 vieing for 2nd place
